First version of the decentralized transaction platform of pebbles completed

Siemens has implemented a first version of the decentralized transaction platform for pebbles based on the open source framework Coaty (https://coaty.io). Based on this test system, the individual system participants and the blockchain components are gradually being integrated.

Coaty was developed by Siemens and published on GitHub (https://github.com/coatyio). It is an IoT communication framework that has emerged against the background of meeting new requirements for IoT applications in which decentralized and loosely coupled system participants can interact with one another without additional coordination instances, in an data centric, ad-hoc and live manner.

Coaty as a framework fits perfectly with the platform requirements for the decentralized scenarios of pebbles. In combination with the integration of blockchain technology, it provides the optimal foundation for a transaction platform for regional peer-to-peer energy trading.
