Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) visits the energy campus in Wildpoldsried
The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand is a state enterprise, managed by the Ministry of Energy, responsible for electric power generation and transmission, as well as bulk electric energy sales in Thailand. EGAT is the largest power producer in Thailand, owning and operating power plants at 45 sites across the country with a total installed capacity of 15,548 MW.
By the end of November EGAT was in Germany for a weeks training at Siemens. As in Thailand there is in general large interest in applications of renewable energy and new trends (e.g. Blockchain technologies), they were very keen on seeing the Energy Campus in Wildpoldsried. Even though the campus was not in operation, the presentation and tour was well received with great interest.
